This is a beginner level Python workshop, for people who are already familiar with another programming language.
Prerequisite
Familiarity with atleast one programming language
Content
The content is roughly based on Google's Python Class
- Introduction, Modules and Functions (30 min)
- Strings and If Statement (20 min)
- Hands-on (30 min)
- Lists and Loops (30 min)
- Hands-on (30 min)
- Sorting, Tuples and List Comprehension (20 min)
- Hands-on (30 min)
- Dicts and Files (20 min)
- Hands-on (30 min)
- The Standard Library (20 min)
What You Should Bring
- Laptop running Linux (preferred), Mac OS X or Windows with Python installed. Instructions for installing Python and the required tools is available here
- Govt. issued ID card.
- Printed copy of the invitation email, that will be sent to you before the workshop. (This is required to gain entry into Ascendas)
